Standard Nine
Name of Artifact: Cox Campus Module Certificates
Date of Artifact: February 19th, 2025
Course: EDUC 235, Science of Reading
Rationale: I have included this artifact, Cox Campus Module Certificates, under Standard Nine, Professional Learning and Ethical Practice because Cox Campus is a way for future educators and teachers alike to learn improved ways of teaching. Standard Nine states that teachers engage in ongoing professional learning and use of evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the community), and adapt the practice to meet the needs of each learner. This certificate and my completion of its course allowed me to understand systematic and explicit phonics instruction at a deeper, more professional, level.
